Tunisian Painter Reads Poetry
Surrounded by her paintings on exhibit at the Tunisian Embassy,
Tunisian-born artist/poet Rajaa A. Gharbi enthralled an audience
at her poetry reading and book signing on Nov. 10. Her book of
poetry and short esssays, From Songs of a Grasshopper, written
in English, captures poignant and moving moments as this
Tunisian mother and her daughter live as immigrants, alone, but
surrounded by an exciting new challenge in Seattle, Washington.
